Vulnerable adults are people aged 18 or over who are ill, frail, aged or have a mental, learning and/or physical disability and as a result cannot care or protect themselves and therefore are in need of community care services.
Nurses who work with vulnerable adults may be District Nurses or Community Nurses, also called Health Visitors.
